HYROX Training Sydney: Four Top Gyms to Prepare You for Race Day

Looking to Join the HYROX Tribe? Here Are Our Top Four Picks for HYROX Training Sydney

We’re just over a third of the way through 2025, and it’s already starting to feel like the year belongs to HYROX.

Fitness lovers wear their HYROX flags like a badge of honour – and rightly so.

Dubbed the ultimate fitness race, there are few formats that test strength, speed, and endurance in equal measure.

HYROX hysteria has swept the globe, and much like the rest of the world, Australians can’t get enough of it.

The HYROX roadshow already dropped anchor in Brisbane earlier this year, and with dates locked in for Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney, the schedule is busier than ever before.

Whether you’re pencilled in to compete at one of the races, or are just finding your feet with HYROX, intentional training is an absolute must.

With that in mind, we’ve scoured the list of accredited HYROX Training Centres and whittled it down to our top four picks for HYROX training Sydney.

Here they are:

Gymfluencers’ Picks For HYROX Training Sydney

BFT Bondi Junction

Body Fit Training – or BFT for short – is a chain that perfectly embodies everything HYROX is about: progressive, community-focused workouts that balance cardio and strength.

The Bondi Junction studio features a massive variety of 50-minute programmes across multiple training principles as part of its day-to-day offering.

On Sundays, the gym transforms into a HYROX centre of excellence, taking that same 50-minute format and applying it to the functional exercises you’ll be up against on race day: SkiErg, Wall Balls, Sled Push and Pulls – all that fun stuff.

If you’re located in the Eastern Suburbs, BFT Bondi Junction is a top spot for HYROX training Sydney.

Location: 32 Ebley St, Bondi Junction NSW 2022
Membership Cost: $35 for a casual class pass, or $74 weekly

CrossFit Coogee

People often confuse CrossFit and HYROX. While there are some key differences between the two, one thing they definitely share is intensity.

Tucked behind Coogee’s Instagrammable coastal pools and picturesque walks, CrossFit Coogee offers highly structured, periodised strength and conditioning programmes in six- and 12-week blocks. Why are they periodised? To hit that all-important principle of progressive overload.

One full membership gets you access to two gyms: the Coogee site (of course), and the newly opened CrossFit haven in the heart of Maroubra.

Hitting frequent CrossFit classes will already improve your stamina and explosive power – attributes that are perfect for HYROX race days.

However, as part of their affiliation with the high-tempo race format, CrossFit Coogee also offers HYROX-specific classes to help you nail the movements in those eight gruelling functional stations.

Plus, there’s an outdoor cardio club that not only gets those lungs working but fosters the tribe feeling that’s helped HYROX and CrossFit become such inclusive, vibe-loaded training formats.

As a little added perk, the Maroubra location also features a state-of-the-art sauna.

Location: 54B Bream St, Coogee NSW 2034
Membership Cost: $79.55 per week

F45 Sydney

A list of the best spots for HYROX training Sydney wouldn’t be complete without F45 making an appearance. After all, the boutique chain is the official training partner in Australia.

Everyone knows the deal with F45 – and if you don’t, the clue is quite literally in the name. F45 Training is a global fitness community offering high-intensity group workouts combining functional training (the “F”) with 45-minute sessions (the “45”).

With daily variations, no thinking required, and plenty of community vibes, the group has enjoyed mammoth success worldwide.

Applying that same functional-forward thinking to HYROX, F45 has included weekly HYROX workouts in its schedule.

They still follow the tried-and-true 45-minute format but focus on the blood-boiling exercises featured around the HYROX track.

As is the case with any HYROX-accredited training centre, F45 members get first dibs on races and more.

There are eight F45 locations within a 50km radius of the city that offer HYROX training Sydney. They include bases in Woolloomooloo, Darlinghurst, Crows Nest, and Northbridge.

Location: Multiple
Membership Cost: Varies depending on location

City Gym Sydney

Last but by no means least is Australia’s iconic City Gym. Over the years, City Gym has established itself as a trailblazer in inclusivity, openly welcoming the LGBTQI+ community when training spaces weren’t always the safest environments.

Setting a fitness standard, the gym also became a Mecca for the sporting elite. Olympic champions, Hollywood superstars, music legends, and stage-dominating bodybuilders have all passed through its doors.

Featuring fully kitted-out sections for weights, cardio, functional training, and the cheekily named ‘booty’ space, City Gym has everything you need to start ticking off your fitness goals.

Oh, and did we mention there’s also an eatery on-site for that post-workout refuel?

Keeping up with the times, City Gym has just onboarded hybrid performance coach Rachel Anderson to lead the new HYROX classes launching in the coming weeks.

The class is designed to push limits, build endurance, and become your next obsession. Some layout changes are on the horizon to accommodate the beastly session, so it’ll be hard to miss if you’re an existing member.

Location: 107 Crown St, Darlinghurst
Membership Cost: Prices start from $27.95

These are just our top four picks – but there are plenty more gyms offering HYROX training Sydney. To find your nearest accredited centre, check out HYROX’s handy club-finder tool.
