Australia: the nation of endless sunsets and long weekends. The Land Down Under really is a special country, and if you’ve only just arrived you’re probably starting to realise just how big it is.
The distance between cities is greater than the total size of most countries, and each of the six states has heaps of unique offerings for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Between cricket, Australian rules, rugby league, bodybuilding expos, and soccer, there’s plenty for sports fanatics to get their teeth into.
But in the past keeping up with all the Aussie madness hasn’t been easy. However, that’s about to change. Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce you to the Gymfluencers Australia events calendar.
As the only page of its kind, the Gymfluencers events calendar stands out in its ability to pool all the incredible sporting action into one place.
How Does It All Work?
What sets the Gymfluencers events calendar apart is its user-friendly and interactive design. At first glance, you’ll have a nationwide view of all the big occasions taking place over the next few months.
However, we know many of you will want to keep your finger on the pulse of what’s going on near you. That’s why we’ve included two quick and easy-to-use features that’ll allow you to do just that.
The first of which is a classic search bar. Let’s say you’re in Sydney, for example. All you have to do is punch that into the search bar and our calendar will do the rest.
If you’re looking to refine your search even further then you can choose the number of miles or kilometres you’re willing to travel to catch a game or show.
You may just fancy a browse, in which case there’s a dropdown that allows you to select a category of event, and order the results by variables such as the start date, distance, and title.
Did you think we’d stop there? You really don’t know us at all. We give you the lowdown on each event, including key information such as the location, start time, and how to book tickets.
If a certain expo or show takes your fancy we even provide you with the link to register. The whole process has been designed to make your life as easy and simple as possible, just as it should be.
What Events Are Featured On The Calendar?
The Gymfluencers events calendar collates all the major sporting events, organised by renowned institutions such as Cricket Australia, Football Federation Australia, and the Australian Rugby Union.
Marvel at renowned fast bowler Pat Cummins terrifying batsmen with his deliveries, or tune in to A-League to find out whether Central Coast Mariners can repeat their unlikely title success.
Whatever it is that gets your pulse racing, you’ll find it on the Gymfluencers events calendar.
For the CrossFit community, our calendar highlights regional and national competitions, where both athletes and spectators push the boundaries of strength, endurance, and agility.
Bodybuilding enthusiasts will also find immense value in our events calendar. We feature the most prestigious bodybuilding shows and competitions put on by Australia’s leading organisation, the Australian National Bodybuilding Association (ANB).
Aside from that there are also tons of fun and quirky events you may not have otherwise discovered. These include wellness offerings such as yoga retreats in Western Australia’s Kalbarri National Park and social soccer meet-ups.
What’s On The Horizon?
Over the next few weeks, there’s a near-endless stream of events taking place. Here are a few that might pique your interest:
IFBB Australia SA State Championships
On October 14, competitors from South Australia will tan themselves up and slip on their tightest pants to impress the judges in the FBB Australia State Championships.
Gym junkies with an IFBB membership will be able to compete in several categories, including bodybuilding, bikini, and fitness. The event, which also counts as a qualifier for the national championships, is taking place at the Brighton Performing Arts Centre.
Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival 2023
Just a day later Melbourne will welcome scores of keen runners, who will all be looking to beat their personal bests, as well as each other, in the annual marathon festival.
The race follows a beautiful but challenging course and will be attended by dozens of athletes and fitness enthusiasts.
Last year’s winner was Kenya’s Timothy Kiplagat Ronoh, who crushed the men’s marathon with a time of 2:09:12, smashing Dominic Ondoro’s 2013 record by more than a minute.
Deadlift4dollars 2023
Heading into November Adonis Athletics in Penrith will be raising money for Beyond Blue, and mental health and wellbeing support organisation, with its yearly Deadlift4dollars competition.
As you may have guessed from the name, weightlifters will take on a series of spine-curling deadlifts for a good cause. This one’s not to be missed.
